DMG Music announces release of Nova Hits and smoothfm favourites CD

DMG Music is excited to announce the release of the inaugural Nova Hits and smoothfm favourites CD. These releases will allow our listeners to have the best of the music on NovaFM and smoothfm, at a fantastic price point. Both will be released digitally on October 19.

For Nova Hits Vol.1, we have compiled the biggest hits from the Nova playlist, perfect to get your party night started, or keep you company on your morning run. You’ll hear smashes by Birdy, Rudimental and Wiley plus two future Nova hits handpicked by Nova’s man in the know “Smallzy”.

smoothfm favourites Vol.1 is your ideal dinner party soundtrack, and features an easy listening collection of your favourite artists, from Michael Bublé to Aretha Franklin and Ed Sheeran.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia’s Group Program Director said, “This is a unique and exciting collaboration with iTunes. All the biggest hits in Australia are broken by Nova from Birdy and Ed Sheeran to Sam and the Womp. We’re as passionate as our listeners are about Hit Music and want to give them the chance to buy the biggest Nova songs each month from iTunes. Likewise, our smoothfm listeners can now relax to an easy blend of their smooth favourites from Jason Mraz to Aretha Franklin. Both Nova and smooth complement each other perfectly and I’m sure many people will be buying both compilations each month!”

These releases will take the format of a monthly digital release, a compilation of the best music played on air. Four times a year, a physical CD will be released with the top tracks from the previous 3 monthly digital releases. The first physical release will be Summer 2012/2013, due out later this year.
