DMG Radio appoints Mike Cass as Nova 100 Program Director

DMG Radio Australia announced the appointment of Mike Cass to the position of Program Director for Nova 100 in Melbourne.

In February 2011 Mike joined DMG Radio Australia in his most recent position as Nova 937 Perth’s Program Director.

With a 20 year radio career, Mike got his start in radio in 1991 as a Presenter and Producer for Leicester Sound before working as Presenter, Producer and then Deputy Head of Music for a number of radio stations throughout the United Kingdom over the next six years.

In September 1997 he joined Galaxy 101 as Deputy Program Controller and Head of Music before being promoted to Program Director for Galaxy 105-106 in North East England in June 2000. Over the next five years he was Program Director for all seven of Galaxy UK’s radio stations.

In August 2005 Mike held the position of Group Program Director for Galaxy and Choice Group for five years.

Mike Cass said, “I’m excited about working with Hughesy and Kate and the talented on and off air teams at Nova in Melbourne. I am passionate about radio and am looking forward to building on Nova’s momentum to give listeners what they want.”

Paul Jackson, DMG Radio Australia Group Program Director said, “I am delighted to have a Programmer of such a high calibre working for Nova in Melbourne. He has extensive radio experience and will bring a renewed energy and focus to Nova 100.”

Mike Cass will commence with Nova 100 on 15 August 2011.
