Late Nights with Deano on Nova

DMG Radio Australia announced Late Nights with Deano will commence on the Nova Network week nights from 19 September at 10pm.

Deano’s irreverent style, with a strong focus on music, listener interaction and unique interviews, is a fun and different offering for Nova’s late night listeners.

Deano said, “I genuinely thought Paul Jackson was taking the piss when he gave me this new opportunity, am chuffed he wasn’t and can’t wait to have some fun with listeners in late nights.”

Deano has been heard in afternoons on Nova 937 in Perth since February 2009. Growing up in county WA, Deano got his start in radio on the mining station Red FM. He pestered Nova 937 Perth until they gave him weekend shifts in March 2008 and took over afternoons in early 2009. Since joining Nova 937, Deano has developed a cult following with Perth listeners.

With a passion for writing and creating on-line content, Deano has produced an arguably breathtaking Christmas album with X-Factor winner Altiyan Childs, participated in a dance off with Justice Crew, had the tables turned in an interview with Steve-O from Jackass and enlisted Stan Walker to serenade an apology to his girlfriend.

Committed to developing talent, Nova recognised Deano’s national potential and gave him a new late night show.

Paul Jackson, Group Program Director at DMG Radio Australia said, “Deano has proved he is outstanding talent on Nova 937 and through the on-line content he has created. He will bring an unexpected and unique energy to late nights on Nova.”
