Nova 100's Hughesy and Kate create the ultimate chick-mobile

Nova 100’s Hughesy and Kate are creating the ultimate chick’s car to give away to a listener this Friday 19 August.

Ed Kavalee finally upgraded his white ‘93 Mazda 323 after 10 years of driving the car his mates and Hughesy and Kate described as “a chick’s car”. Given this apt description, it was only fitting that he gave his beloved car away to a listener. Hughesy, Kate and Ed took on the challenge to fix her up and create the ultimate chick’s car.

Over the past three weeks listeners provided suggestions on cool chick modifications, were given naming rights, and then businesses volunteered their expert skills to lovingly create an amazing chick’s car.

Once the car’s mechanical repairs were completed, her new name was immortalized in hot pink personalised number plates as SH4ZDA and she received a stunning pink leopard print paint job. An electric sunroof was installed, 18 inch rims fitted and Shazda received the darkest legal tint available.

Last week the fun stuff was installed – parking sensors, a reversing camera, central locking, a full alarm system, power points and the ultimate chick accessory – an inbuilt pink hair straightener - was fitted. Autobarn installed a 1600 watt stereo system with fluoro pink flashing lights, Bluetooth and iPod control, a pink steering wheel, pink windscreen wiper blades, metallic pink floor mats and pink fluffy dice to complete the extreme makeover.

From Monday 15 August Shazda is hitting secret suburban locations. Each day Hughesy and Kate will provide clues to Shazda’s next location and one listener per day with the correct answer will have the chance to win Shazda this Friday.

Check out www.novafm.com.au for pics of Shazda’s before her makeover and at each stage of her upgrade and switch on to Nova 100’s Hughesy and Kate weekdays from 6am to hear the daily updates on her modifications.
